Taste

A light, clear infusion. Spicy and cooling at the first sip, then a clean menthol freshness that lasts, with a little sweetness underneath.

About Peppermint

Peppermint is a natural cross between water mint and spearmint, first described in England in the 1750s. It has the highest menthol content of the mints, which is where the spice and the cooling come from.

The plant: Mentha × piperita

A vigorous herb — square stems tinged purple, dark green leaves with a serrated edge, and a scent released at the lightest touch.
Comes back every year — spreads by underground runners and likes damp, rich ground.
Why it feels cold — menthol touches the same receptor in the mouth that senses cold, so the cup feels cooler than it is.
